LIDO - The Biography of A Restaurant
This is my first blog ever. I'm not a writer, but I figured I would try it out. My first subject will be the creation, life, and eventual end of a restaurant named Lido.
In 1985, my husband Barry and two friends, Harvey and Richie got together to buy and open a new restaurant. Barry is a chef, Harvey was an aspiring actor with lots of restaurant experience, and Richie was the businessman of the group. The restaurant only lasted two years, but quite an interesting 2 years they were.
I am telling it's story mainly in pictures on flickr, where my name is aunt teena. My first group of pictures shows us, our friends, our future employees, and our families helping to take a dirty closed restaurant and clean and spruce it up into the beautiful place it became.
So this is just the beginning. Come look if you have a chance.
